Writing
When I’m not talking . . . I’m writing!
I’m pan-genre writer comfortable in a wide range of styles and voices: My personal publications range from one-act plays and poetry to scientific journal research and creative non-fiction.
Also, I provide content writing for my voiceover clients. So, if you need help with a script, feel free to contact me! I’m a punctilious proofreader, and I’ll ensure that you’re sharing your ideas effectively.

Content Writing
I offer content writing services to my voiceover clients. For example:
Adhering to a strict style guide, I write plain-language advice articles for Ohio Legal Help, a nonprofit resource to help all Ohioans access the civil justice system.
Previously, I crafted text for the Chinese company ABCPen’s English-language website, and the US App Store version of their Owl Scanner text-recognition app.
One-Act Plays
I’ve written two award-winning one-act plays that were produced in New York City:
A Match Remade in Heaven
My one-act play A Match Remade in Heaven premiered at Western Reserve Playhouse, where it was voted the best new play of the 2017 80 Minutes festival.
In 2018, the show was produced twice in New York City: First, it was named a finalist at The Secret Theatre's 2018 one-act competition, and then it returned to NYC for the New York Theatre Festival's Summerfest.
The script is available from The Book Patch.

Two Boys and a Box of Bullets
My one-act play Two Boys and a Box of Bullets premiered in New York City at The Secret Theater’s 2020 one-act playwriting contest. Our team was honored as Finalists, advancing all the way to the last round!
The piece is scheduled to be published in The Secret Theater’s upcoming anthology.

Spoken Word Poetry
I write original spoken-word poetry to perform at venues throughout the Greater Cleveland area, including The Whiskey Bar, B Side Lounge, and more.
I was the library’s featured poet of the day during National Poetry Month 2022, and I regularly participate in a variety of writers’ workshops and events, such the one pictured here.
Psychology Research
Research on prejudice and persuasion
Before I became a full-time voice artist, I was (briefly!) a research social psychologist. My research emphasis was prejudice and persuasion.
During grad school, I taught classes at the University of California Santa Barbara, and my scholarly work was honored by the National Science Foundation, The Ford Foundation, and the Society for Personality and Social Psychology.
For a list of my academic journal publications, see my Research Gate profile.
